Be prepared to start work at beginning of shift
Abide by company safety procedures
Work in a fast paced environment with little supervision
Interpret blueprints and CAD files
Manage files and data on system network
Work with Microsoft software such as Excel and Word
Work with CAM software tech support (Open Mind) for solutions and updates.
Identify specific cutting tools that need to be ordered and submitted for purchasing.
Utilize CAD software to export files.
Utilize CAM software to create files for CNC programming. Open Mind HyperMill (bonus)
Create 2d,3d, geometry in Cam system.
Process tooling and machining operations in sequential order
Calculate speeds and feeds using formulas
Design and program any special fixturing
Design any special tooling
Create 2d,3d, and 4axis toolpaths in CAM system
Create CNC Set-Up Sheets with detailed pictures, dimensions and instructions
Verify programs and setup sheet information are correct before issuing to shop
Work closely Engineering Design Department, Processing Department and CNC Machining Department
On occasion write hand written thread programs
Create and program geometry for electrodes
Create and program geometry utilizing sine plates/angle setups/angle heads
Maintain high quality and productive output

Requirements:

At least 2 years of CNC Programming experience.
At least 3 years of CNC operation experience.
Working knowledge of blueprints
Has experience within the extrusion blow mold industry (bonus)
Proficient in math including Geometry, Algebra and Trigonometry
Working knowledge of how to use/read measuring tools – calipers, micrometers and shadowgraph
Understanding of cutting tools and their geometries
Strong communication skills
