• About the job
- To plan, organize and control production in VTI factory to ensure all goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard following Quality, Cost, Delivery, Man, and Safety (QCDMS).
• Duties and responsibilities
- Production Planning – plan a production schedule for production lines and lead its execution;
- Production process management - Provide day-to-day management for the production lines. This includes managing priorities, ensuring deadlines are met, delivering team effectiveness, communicating status, maintaining the overall quality of the VTI’s production schedule, preparing appraisals, and providing coaching and career development to all team members. Assess, track and report on results of overall production efforts and lead generation activities.
- Quality management – Ensure standard of production operating and quality standard
- Improvement – Determines production process improvement plan;
- Manufacturing management tools – Manage QCDMS and apply World Class Management (WCM) tool and deliver effective training to production leaders/ workers including: Kaizen, 5S, TPM.
- Safety – Ensure all production processes are complied with VTI and Corporation’s EHS standards and foster a safety workplace.
- Budgeting – Assist in the development of the annual production budget; monitor all productionspending and ensure it’s funded as allocated.
- Reporting – Day to day report to Plant Manager and interaction with VTI head-quarter and shareholder (Saint-Gobain) regarding production reports & KPIs.
• Who you are
Future holder of this position ideally brings these qualification:
- Minimum of 8 years production experience & at least 03 years’ experience performing in a lead production role. Candidate who has the experience in FDI company is advantage
- A working knowledge of the VTI industrial products and construction material sciences industries.
- Must be knowledgeable of QCDSM, PDCA and WCM;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (Vietnamese high level – English at intermediate),
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to develop relationships across organizations and drive cross-functional teams.
- "Can do" spirit; "learning on fly";
- Strong organizational, process and project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- The ability to travel from Hanoi to Factory in Hung Yen (45 minutes from Hanoi’s center);
- University degree in Mechanical/ automation or an equivalent field;
- Candidates who are working in similar industry is preferable
